Our
studio has been dedicated to Public Art for over twenty-five
years. After graduating from Chelsea School of Art we began
developing a philosophy to expand the audience for art through
the fusion of art and architecture.
A family history in engineering and fascination with emerging
technology has proved a useful foundation for an art form
dependent on the structural as well as aesthetic qualities
of materials.
These efforts have been recognized through national art awards
and grant support from The Arts Council of England.
Projects are negotiated on a commission basis, meaning that
collaboration is at the heart of every scheme. A close relationship
with the client, design team and audience of the work is essential
for success.
The ambition and scale of the practice has expanded over the
years, but the original ethos remains intact. Central to this
vision is the creation of identity and discovery of a sense
of place. Public Art should mediate between the architectural
and human scales, giving meaning to the world we build.
